NFL Mock Draft Simulators Surge In Popularity As Draft Season Heats Up...
NFL mock draft simulators are dominating online searches this week as fans eagerly predict team picks ahead of the 2026 draft. With the NFL Scouting Combine wrapping up and free agency underway, football enthusiasts are turning to interactive tools to test their GM skills.
Platforms like Pro Football Focus, The Draft Network, and NFL.com have seen traffic spikes exceeding 200% compared to last month. The surge coincides with key pre-draft events, including this weekâs pro days at major college programs like Alabama and Ohio State.
âFans love playing armchair general manager,â said ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. in a phone interview Wednesday. âThese simulators give people a chance to experiment with different scenarios before real teams make their moves.â
The most popular simulators allow users to control all 32 teams or focus on their favorite franchise. Advanced versions incorporate recent trade rumors and combine performance data. Some even grade usersâ draft strategies.
This yearâs heightened interest may stem from an unusually deep quarterback class. At least five QBs are projected as first-round picks, creating more variables for fans to explore. The Chicago Bears, who hold the #1 selection, have become the most simulated team.
Sportsbooks have taken notice too. DraftKings recently added prop bets tied to simulator outcomes, though these remain for entertainment purposes only. The NFL draft begins April 23 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
With six weeks remaining until the real selections, analysts expect simulator traffic to keep climbing. âItâs become part of the draft ritual,â said NFL Networkâs Daniel Jeremiah. âFans want to prepare just like the scouts do.â
